Anemo was formed in summer 2001 in Brighton. Anemo means "changing forms" or "of the wind" from the Greek work ANEMOS. The Anemo core is the songwriting partnership of vocalist Hazelle Woodhurst, Kingsley Sage on keyboards and production and guitarist Matt Palmer and are based at the Stoat Digital production house in Brighton. The core is then supported in the live band by guitarist Bernard Watson, backing singer Erika Woodhurst and drummers Mike Kelly and Steve Quantrill.
